The Role:
As a Marine Mechanic with Can Mac Watercraft & More, Inc., you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and related components on boats, jet skis, and other watercraft. You'll also perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct thorough inspections, use diagnostic tools and computerized systems for troubleshooting, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

The Role:
As a Marine Mechanic with Can Mac Watercraft & More, Inc., you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and related components on boats, jet skis, and other watercraft. You'll also perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct thorough inspections, use diagnostic tools and computerized systems for troubleshooting, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and related components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and parts replacements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of boats and watercraft to identify potential problems and recommend preventative maintenance measures.
- Use diagnostic tools and computerized systems to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure accurate repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and customer communications.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns, explain repair options, and provide estimates for services.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with hazardous materials, equipment, and tools.
- Collaborate with other team members, including service advisors and parts department, to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer satisfaction.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or certification in marine mechanics is preferred.
- Proven experience as a marine mechanic, with knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to use diagnostic tools and computerized systems effectively.
- Certifications from organizations such as the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) or manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy parts, work in tight spaces, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to marine mechanics.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
