Storypark creates tools for educators, early childhood education services, and families to collaboratively document, share, discuss, and strengthen the learning and development of children. Now, we’re on a mission of global expansion to deepen the impact our product creates. Our head office is located in Wellington, New Zealand, and we also have a Canadian company registered in Ontario with team members in the GTA.
Your mission
As our Outbound Sales Development Representative your role is to support the Sales team through proactive engagement with prospects, setting meetings in the Account Executive’s diaries, starting conversations, and managing the pipeline of prospects. You’ll also be responsible for uncovering new leads and engaging in conversations with interested parties to expand our customer base, as well as keeping across competitors and trends in our sector.
Your role will look a bit like this:
- Executing a high volume of outbound calls to prospective customers
- Targeting potential new customers by building out and connecting with your own lead list
- Creating tailored emails to connect with potential customers
- Scheduling meetings for the Account Executives
- Collaborating with the marketing team on campaigns, including sharing insights you’ve gained through conversations
- Connecting with customers in a meaningful way, bringing our brand and values to life
- Promoting our products and services as our product continues to evolve
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy in our CRM Hubspot.
What you’ll bring:
You’ll be highly motivated in your work, bringing a natural curiosity and ability to engage with customers to build rapport. You’ll love a challenge and will be driven towards achieving results and hitting your targets. Technology will come easily to you, and you’ll have no trouble picking up new concepts and articulating these to your customers. You will also have:
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or account management role; you may even be looking to change careers towards account management or sales
- A passion for making a difference and delivering outstanding service
- Detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to deliver results under pressure
- Outstanding communication and people skills; confidence to make a cold call and strike up rapport
- Ability to work independently
- A drive to hit your targets, to add to the success of the team
- Curiosity; you’re brave enough to ask questions (and you know what the right questions are!)
