If this sounds like you, Mac Gillivray Injury and Insurance Law is seeking a full-time Paralegal Executive Assistant to work based out of our office in New Glasgow, NS.
Mac Gillivray Injury and Insurance Law is a civil litigation boutique firm representing clients across Atlantic Canada and beyond. We currently have offices located in New Glasgow, NS; Halifax, NS; St. John's, NL; and Moncton, NB.
Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with a Senior Partner as an Executive Assistant
Preparing, drafting, and reviewing legal documents and correspondence
Organizing and maintaining accurate records for filing and word processing
Researching records, court files and other legal documents
Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree/diploma is required - a paralegal diploma or degree is preferred
Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant is an asset
Proficiency and aptitude for working with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Case Management software
Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative and exercise sound judgement
Top-tier writing skills are a must
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Able to be flexible, and adapt easily to change
Experience working in the field of personal injury law is an asset
