JOB PURPOSE:
We are currently searching for a Cook to work inside the kitchen located in Long-Term facility to serve the residents on daily basis.
Responsibilities:

• Cook food for the residents of a Long-term facility
• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order
• Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of foods
• Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients
• Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
• Setting up the work station
• Developing recipes that comply with company policy
• Attend in-service training as required in order to better serve the needs of the residents;
• Work in a position of trust with vulnerable adults (residents)
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Must have:

• Experience using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils.
• Food Handler Certificate is a must.
• Working in a nursing home considered a strong asset.
• Equivalent College diploma.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible working different hours including weekends.
• Team player.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $20.00 per hour
