We’re looking for a vibrant person to help us bring joy to people’s spaces.
When we say vibrant, we mean it literally! Wallpaper Online is a Vancovuer-based creator of kick-ass wall designs and murals which can provide instant flair to any space. We started in Vancouver last year and now ship all across Canada and the US.
This position is for someone looking for flexible working hours - there is no 9-5 here. If you like mornings, afternoons or evenings, you have the flexibility to work whenever suits you. Our hours vary somewhat by order volume - some weeks are busier than others - but help is always available to get through the busier periods.
Are you someone who is (or has) the following?:

• Friendly and honest demeanor.

Customers often reach out for advice or sometimes to complain and we need to solve their problems to the point that they are compelled to give us a 5 star rating. Our guiding principles are that we always want to do right by the customer, even if that means we lose money on an order.

• A positive approach with people.

Alot of our repeat customers are slightly eccentric interior designers. We bend over backwards to help them, and they keep coming back with more orders.

• Technically savvy.

On an average day we use multiple softwares and equipment. While prior experience is not necessary, an interest in learning is. We provide a full training and guide on how our Print Management Software works, as you'll also be using a large format HP Printer and Cutter. Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc) is useful.

• Able to lift 20kgs / 44lbs.

This is the approximate weight of a roll of substrate which needs to be loaded onto the printer.

• Solution oriented personality.

As is life, things go wrong - printers misbehave, clients don’t like the colour they received compared to the colour they saw on their backlit phone screen etc. We need to keep things moving at all times, solve the problems and move on - we cannot get stuck.

• Basic maths and finance literacy

Everyone's home is a different shape and size, which means we sometimes need to get creative with working out the square feet of customers walls from drawings.

• Organisation and planning skills.

Orders can come in trickles and gushes, being able to print, cut, finish, pack and send the maximum amount of product out to customers takes careful planning and logical thinking.

• Ability to use basic graphic design software is a bonus.

Often customers ask for a custom size or for a slightly different colour for their order- being able to do this for a customer on the fly will speed up alot of sales - if we make it quick and easy they will buy from us.

• An interest in interior design and decor.

We spend alot of days talking to people about their interiors, and we also make a product that can completely change the feeling in a space with very little cost or effort. An interest in new trends and new artworks to offer will go a long way - and if this is fun to you, then it won’t ever feel like work!
