Position Summary
Our team is growing and we’re on the lookout for a Quality Control Inspector.
The successful candidate will possess an excellent understanding of Quality Control Inspection and related processes. This person will demonstrate a passion for maintaining quality standards by approving standard quality checks during the complete production process, reporting any deficiencies, proposing solutions, and implementing procedures to ensure standard operating processes are being followed to maintain quality production in a safe, and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections to identify all outstanding issues in production and order processing departments to ensure quality standards are being met.
- Ensure products meet project specifications, working with responsible departments to make modifications required to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Develop a strong understanding of the complete production process, including but not limited to receiving, material handling, panel processing, sanding, drilling, finishing, assembly, and shipping.
- Identify and report issues related to quality control that arise in the pre- and post-production processes.
- Approve all in-coming and finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests. Collaborate with senior management at needed.
- Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work tracking completion.
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
- Follow all proper maintenance, sanitation, procedures and health and safety protocols at all times and ensure department member are as well.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding violence and harassment and professional conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in Quality Control preferably in the mill-work industry
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
- Leadership and teamwork skills are a must
- Must have good knowledge of various kitchen cabinetry manufacturing materials
- Must have a keen eye for colour matching and quality control
- Having knowledge of and ability to work with all types of paints, stains, finishes, etc. preferred
- Must be able to cope in a high pace environment while maintaining an exceptional level of product quality
- Steel toed safety boots
- Depending on experience.
