Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Bilingual Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both English and French, with the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and property. As a bilingual officer, you will be responsible for providing clear instructions, assistance, and reporting in both languages while performing routine security duties such as patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and handling emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and Patrol: Perform routine patrols (physical and/or via security monitoring systems) to ensure the safety and security of the premises.

• Bilingual Communication: Provide instructions, warnings, and assistance to employees, visitors, and the public in both languages

• Access Control: Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles enter secured areas.

• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations such as alarms, evacuations, or incidents, communicating in both languages as required.

• Incident Reporting: Accurately document security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activity in security logs and create detailed incident reports in both languages.

• Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other surveillance equipment to detect and respond to suspicious activities.

• Customer Service: Provide assistance to visitors, clients, and staff by answering questions, giving directions, and managing access to restricted areas.

• Safety Checks: Conduct regular safety checks of equipment, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry, accidents, or damage.

• Conflict Resolution: Manage potential conflicts and de-escalate situations in a calm and professional manner using bilingual communication skills.

• Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Work closely with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed, ensuring that communication is clear and efficient.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both languages( English and French)

• Security Training: Security guard certification (where applicable) and knowledge of security protocols and procedures.

• Experience: Prior experience in a security role is preferred.

• Surveillance Skills: Proficiency in operating security systems and monitoring equipment.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform light physical tasks when needed.

• Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills with the ability to notice irregularities or suspicious activities.

• Customer Service: Ability to interact politely and professionally with people from diverse backgrounds.

• Problem Solving: Quick thinker with strong decision-making skills in emergency situations.

• Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with the ability to follow security protocols strictly.
