- Minimum 1 year serving experience required
- Previous serving experience in a four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is required; other languages are an asset.
- Previous experience using MICROS POS an asset
- Basic knowledge of food and beverages required
- Must be able to maintain service standards while under pressure
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs, walk and stand comfortably for the duration of a shift
- Must be Smart Serve Certified
- Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor laws
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Greet guests as they are seated to the table
- Efficiently and properly perform all service standards and food handling regulations
- Able to suggest recommendations and address questions regarding dietary restrictions
- Present orders to guests in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner
- Engage with guests and work as a team to ensure a seamless, personalized, and elevated experience
- Present accurate check and process payment
- Clean tables and maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
- Perform all required duties related to start, during, and end of shift tasks
- Attend pre-shift briefing with manager and team
- Attend training and other mandatory meetings at the hotel when required
