Rogers Communications is seeking an IT Solution Delivery Manager to lead the planning and delivery of projects for the Rogers for Business Unit. Reporting to a Senior Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the effective delivery of the right solutions for important business needs.

Rogers Communications is seeking an IT Solution Delivery Manager to lead the planning and delivery of projects for the Rogers for Business Unit. Reporting to a Senior Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the effective delivery of the right solutions for important business needs.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate with Rogers Business teams including but not limited to: Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Go to Market.
- Understand and contribute to business and IT roadmaps and guide project activities accordingly.
- Lead the project team through the initial planning stage of the project. Engage multiple groups within IT to assemble the right project team for successful delivery including PMO, Application Development, Architecture, Testing, Digital, Network, Infrastructure and Cyber STARR.
- Work with business stakeholders & project teams to manage scope within budgetary and timeline constraints and develop appropriate technical solutions and realistic delivery schedules.
- Represent business stakeholders in IT discussions and represent IT in business discussions.
- Along with the assigned Project Manager, monitor project delivery and manage change requests. Review project status and financial forecasts.
- Along with the assigned Solution Architect and/or Business Analyst, ensure the proper documentation of solution designs, use cases, as-is and to-be architectures and processes, business and technical functional and non-functional requirements.
- Coordinate team efforts to resolve complex issues and escalate when required.
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and throughout the organization.
The skills you have
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written is a must.
- Able to articulate technology issues in business terms and explain business concepts to technical audiences.
- Able to communicate effectively at both the working level and to Leadership.
- Leadership capabilities: teamwork and collaboration, ability to influence, drive decisions, adaptability, negotiate & resolve conflict, organization
- Able to understand business products & operations and the underlying business needs that drive IT requirements.
- Able to project plan, produce cost estimations and understand forecasts.
- Able to vendor manage – drafting and reviewing SOWs, manage vendor expectations and deliveries
- Able to alternate between big-picture and detailed thinking.
- Able to work in a fast paced, changing environment where there is a constant drive to achieve results.
The qualifications you have
- Undergraduate degree
- 5+ years experience in IT, preferably within the Telecommunications industry.
- 2-5 years experience as a project manager, delivery manager or business analyst.
- General understanding of Rogers business and IT practices.
- Demonstrated experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
- Knowledge of the Wireless and Cable Technologies
