About Elite Educational Institute
From our humble origins as a small tutoring centre in Los Angeles, Elite Educational Institute has grown into a multinational education group, with 52 campuses worldwide crossing across than a dozen countries. Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead small group tutoring sessions with students aged 9-18 where you'll guide discussions, answer questions, and help students work through problems collaboratively.
• Use our provided materials to deliver structured lessons and ensure students understand key concepts.
• Apply effective teaching strategies and strong communication to boost students' academic skills.
• Utilize interpersonal skills to keep students engaged and motivate them to take ownership of their learning.
• Provide clear, targeted feedback—both verbally and in writing—so parents can monitor their child's progress.
• Leverage soft-skills to help New Canadians develop stronger English language skills in an educational environment.
• Demonstrate cultural competency by fostering a positive, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to rise up to the challenge.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about helping others learn.
• Confident in classroom management skills or willing to learn.
• Eager to grow through targeted training in academic enrichment and test prep.
• Looking to leverage strong academic skills in a rewarding role.
• Although we invite people of all backgrounds to apply, looking to add tutoring hours to their resume for a PDP or B.Ed application is an asset.
• Although no classroom experience required, volunteering experience in the B.C. school systems, or comparables (e.g. EA work) are an asset.

Work Hours

• Humanities: Group classes are held on Monday/Thursday and Tuesday/Friday, with Wednesdays or Saturdays optional. Teachable hours are between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Between 10-20 hours of work per week, negotiable with campus.
• STEM: Classes once a week between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on weekdays. Tutors without weekday availability can opt to tutor on Saturdays between 9:00am to 5:00 pm (full day not required, usually 4 hours).

We conduct hiring regularly throughout the school year, but as we are in the middle of term, not all campuses have immediate openings. Teaching Subjects
At Elite Educational Institute, tutors usually oversee academic enrichment courses in one of two streams: STEM (Math, Science, Bio, Chem, or Physics) or English (Literature, Reading, Writing). Tutors with experience in test prep (SAT, SSAT, ACT, or AP courses) or teachers with valid teaching certificates are also invited to apply.
