J.D. Barnes Limited is the largest organization of its kind in Canada providing land surveying, bathymetric surveying, underground utility mapping, aerial mapping, land information solutions and integrated online data solutions coast to coast.
J.D. Barnes Limited is currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated SURVEY IT ADMINISTRATOR in our Markham location.
The position is responsible for organizing, tracking and updating all purchases, repairs and rentals/loans of survey related equipment and paperwork for all divisions in our firm. The successful applicant must be able to initiate and organize a large equipment inventory, monitor Smart Net logins, prepare and ship equipment to branch offices and interact with the accounting department for purchasing of new equipment. Applicants must also be able to pick up and deliver purchased and/or repaired equipment, as required.
Requirements:

• Related education (Administration, Survey, IT), and/or 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Computer savvy, proficient with MS Office Suite
• Proactive and takes initiative on projects and tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be assertive
• Excellent time management skills and detail oriented
• Strong problem-solving, researching and analytical skills
• Valid G Driver’s License
• Experience with survey equipment is an asset
