About the Opportunity
The IM/IT SA/BA will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications aligned with NSH’s and its client’s strategic mission, vision and goals. The IM/IT SA/BA performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: evaluation of requests for change, data retrieval; troubleshooting and assisting with the resolution of application errors and other system issues; development of materials and the communication of system changes to end users; and, building and maintaining all system configuration items in line with best practice and appropriate stakeholder approvals.
Systems encompassed within this role include, but are not limited to, community based electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Accuro, Med Access), Virtual care platforms (VCNS/VENS/VUNS) and the Need a Family Practice Registry that are used in supporting primary healthcare services and programs.
About You
- Degree or diploma in an Information Technology, Business Analysis or Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis or systems support an asset
- Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset
- Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting an asset
- Experience using and or supporting Primary Health Care EMR’s Med Access and Accuro
- Experience using and or supporting the Need A Family Practice Registry
- Experience using and or supporting the virtual platforms VCNS, VENS and VUNS
- Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset
- Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
- Ability to troubleshoot and document issues, problems and implement resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis an asset
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues
- Organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to clearly communicate NSH vision, mission and values
Hours
- (1) Permanent, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
- (2) Long-assignment, Full-time Positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
