Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder Helper to join our team. As a Welder Helper, you will assist in various welding and fabrication tasks to support our production process. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with hand tools and machinery. Duties:
- Assist welders in setting up and operating welding equipment
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as required
- Perform basic machining tasks such as drilling, grinding, and sanding
- Assist in fabricating and building metal structures according to specifications
- Help with the assembly of ductwork and other components
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutting equipment
- Rig and move heavy materials using cranes or other lifting devices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Welder Helper or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with ductwork fabrication is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Prior experience or training in welding or metal fabrication is required.
