Veterinary Receptionist

Job Description

Join our talented, hardworking team in beautiful North Bay. We are looking for a compassionate, hardworking and reliable veterinary receptionist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional client experience by demonstrating quality service, respect and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

Efficiently and accurately perform clerical and reception duties including client and patient intake and discharge, patient scheduling, answering questions, and maintaining front office and exam room flow

Schedule appointments appropriately based on patient condition and appointment calendar

Provide top notch client care services both in person and over the phone

Maintain communication between clients and veterinary care team

Assist with client education by reiterating medical recommendations on general pet care and post-treatment instructions

Routinely contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the practice

Accurately perform daily invoicing, cash management, and reconciliation

Experience and Skills:

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred and knowledge of Avimark is an asset, however, not mandatory.

Must be a self-starter, able to multi task and be a team player.

Accurate record keeping in accordance with hospital protocols

Positive attitude and desire to support both pets and people alike

Strong communication and customer service skills are required to interact effectively with both clients and team members

Compassion and patience when handling animals and interacting with pet owners
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members

Schedule:

Approximately 20-30 hours per week
