VFX Production Assistant

Are you a highly motivated VFX Production Assistant (PA) who is passionate about working on upcoming film, television and advertising projects? The Embassy is hiring for a VFX PA to join our team!

The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films, television, and commercials. We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands, in film, television and advertising.

Your Role
The VFX PA will provide administrative support to the production management team and the supervisors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage meetings and reviews schedules for the Production team and Supervisors; take accurate notes in reviews and meetings and publish them on the Flow production tracking system (formerly Shot Grid) as needed.
Under the guidance of the Production Manager or the Associate VFX Producer, assist with schedules and track task progress for assigned artists and sequences in the production tracking system (Shot Grid).
Liaise with the Production team across sites to coordinate cross-discipline tasks, deliveries, questions, statuses, and approvals.
Ingest deliveries from clients and manage deliveries to clients and vendors as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months to 1 year of work experience as a VFX PA or other similar production management roles in Visual Effects or feature animation required.
College degree in film, art, communications or a related field and/or a combination of education and experience that would be equivalent to that level of professionalism, problem solving and analytical skills is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and Google Suite skills required.
Flow (formerly Shotgrid), or other production management software experience preferred.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 (CAD) per hour.
This range denotes the minimum and maximum compensation limits for this role within the province of British Columbia, adhering to local legal requirements. It's essential to recognize that the salary range for this position may vary when compared to markets outside of British Columbia, with potential variations in both lower and higher figures. The base pay offered is contingent upon factors including internal equity assessments and elements such as the candidate's geographic location, job-related expertise, skills, experience, and other pertinent qualifications.
