Welder Helper
Scovan is looking for a Welder Helper to join our team in Ponoka immediately! This position offers stable, full-time hours with an opportunity to grow and learn from our hard-working team!
Responsibilities

• Assist welders in setting up and preparing materials for welding.
• Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment.
• Clean and prepare workpieces for welding.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to prevent accidents.
• Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Support welders in positioning and securing workpieces.
• Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy.
• Follow instructions from welders and supervisors to ensure project specifications are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of welding processes and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective gear.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Details:

• Full-time hours - Typical shift is Monday to Friday, 10 hour days.
• Shifts may vary based on workload requirements.
• All work is completed in our industrial module yard in Ponoka, Alberta. No need to travel.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$31.00 per hour
