Key job responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs declarations, entries, and other documentation required for the import and export of goods
• Communicate with customs officials, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate the clearance of shipments
• Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule to determine the applicable duty rates
• Monitor changes in trade regulations and update procedures accordingly
• Provide advice and guidance to clients on customs compliance and clearance procedures
• Maintain detailed records and documentation related to all customs transactions
• Resolve issues with customs authorities, such as delays or discrepancies
• Stay up-to-date on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and regulations
• Experience as a customs broker or in a similar role is highly desirable
• Experience as Process Improvement Expert, Business Analysis and Project Management
• Customer oriented mindset
