- Attend at various locations throughout China to carryout and/or supervise the carrying out of inspections, weighing and sampling of various commodities covered by Inspectorate (Shanghai) ltd.
- Carryout inspections of materials and products by both visual and mechanical/ manual methods as directed.
- Produce and/or supervise the production of analytical samples from the associated commodities.
- Produce daily written reports on all inspection activities along with associated costing and expenses information related to appointments. Hand in these reports to Division Manager timely.
- To ensure that codes of safety and discipline are understood and strictly adhered to.
- To perform inspections of commodities and produce comprehensive reports on findings within preset times and using appropriate technical methods ensuring work is conducted to an acceptable high standard.
- To communicate and report to the Division Manager on any matter relating to the efficiency of the job, and any deviation from or failure of methods, systems, procedures, and established codes of Health & Safety.
- Comprehensive knowledge of practical ability within the designated area of visual, mechanical and manual methods of sampling and analyses.
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to be able to organise priorities.
- Ability to exercise discretion and complete confidentiality.
- University graduate or higher
- English level 4
- General Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Power Point)
- Familiarity with oil & petrochemicals products is preferred
- AQSIQ Certificate
