Abdoolally Ebrahim Group (AEG) has its roots dating back to 1842 in Hong Kong. The Group’s activities include Investments and Trading. The Housewares division provides exclusive product design and sourcing to the world’s leading housewares brands selling products across 9 Kitchenware categories.
In line with our dynamic operational requirements, we are seeking a candidate to join us as a Quality Manager.
Responsibilities
To manage and further develop all aspects of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Factory accreditation including but not limited to:
o Product Specifications
o Product testing and timely implementation of relating to new legislation
o Factory audits and follow up
o Quality Control protocols and inspections
o Team management and development
Main duties

• Supervise Quality Team on daily operations; include quality control, quality engineering, quality assurance, customer service and factory compliance.
• Conducting 8D root cause analysis to associated factories, implementing corrective and preventive action plan.
• Introduce preventive measures into the system so as to minimize customer complaints and quality claims.
• Provide professional advice on quality to all stakeholders during the development and lifetime of the product to ensure the highest levels of quality. Identify potential hazards during the product development phase and provide guidance in mitigating the hazards.
• Ensuring all products and materials are safe to use and meet all required safety standards as per customer’s requirements.
• Preparation and update of all product specifications.
• Development and management of all Quality Control protocols & procedures;
• Evaluation, maintenance & update of Quality Control inspection reports.
• Maintain inspection performance record, conduct factory performance analysis.
• Strengthen communication with partner factories, enhancing factories understanding to various level customer requirements; smoothing inspection process flow to enhance final quality output level.
• Make sure a proper system is in place to continuously improve supplier quality through process audits, factory compliance audits, vendor development, vendor training and other incentive or penalty plans.
• Communicate with external statutory bodies, third party laboratories and other organizations in dealing with issues related to quality, product safety, reliability and compliance.
• Develop and train subordinates continuously

Requirements

• Diploma or above in quality management or related disciplines an advantage;
• Minimum 8 years of working experience within a Quality environment with a minimum of 4 years at managerial level;
• Deep knowledge of Stainless Steel and Plastics products is a MUST;
• Relevant experience in Housewares /Kitchenware products highly preferred;
• Well-versed and experienced in implementing international quality standards and management systems
• Knowledge in US / International safety standards for direct food contact products such as LFGB, FDA, Prop 65 Regulations.
• Proactive in identifying potential quality problems and pragmatic in problem solving;
• Dynamic, hands on and with "can-do" attitude in a demanding environment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good management and leadership skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua);
• Frequent travel to PRC required.
