Your ‘day to day’
You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. Being a domain expert in Manufacturing Testing, you will take the ownership for manufacturing test system development for NPI and sustaining programs, to ensure NPI readiness for high volume production by leading all technical and operational issues related to manufacturing test, to achieve success of the entire new product introduction cycle and into the mass production phase in consumer electronic products (PCBA and FATP).

Your ‘day to day’
You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. Being a domain expert in Manufacturing Testing, you will take the ownership for manufacturing test system development for NPI and sustaining programs, to ensure NPI readiness for high volume production by leading all technical and operational issues related to manufacturing test, to achieve success of the entire new product introduction cycle and into the mass production phase in consumer electronic products (PCBA and FATP).
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of manufacturing test system development and equipment designs - including requirements, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, multi-functional reviews, and production release.
- Conduct code review and audit of supplier’s firmware test development processes. Review and challenge technical solutions from internal and external suppliers. Propose alternate optimized HW and FW test solutions.
- Work with multi-functional teams (consist of R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Manager), suppliers and contract manufacturers for readiness of the production lines by delivering manufacturing testing methods and equipment knowledge.
- Early engagement in product and technology development. Collaborate with R&D teams to develop measurement systems, test equipment and help derive test requirement specifications for module and product level.
- Conduct optimization of the test limits and validate test systems using statistical tools. Work closely with Six Sigma champion.
Who we’re looking for
- A university degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent is required
- Shown work experience as a Leader in manufacturing test position with strong system engineering approach.
- Experienced with design and testing of PCBA and HW, analog and digital, sensor technology and vision systems, product traceability and security, automated product testing, equipment validation and buy-off.
- Strong knowledge in firmware test development. Proficient in Labview, Test Stand and C/C++. Knowledge in Python and other relevant programming or scripting languages will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in test method development and implementation into production test process. Integration, box-build, test equipment, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing. In depth understanding of product FW and HW design and processes. Fundamental of general IT network infrastructure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities across different manufacturing sites and suppliers.
- Work proactively to anticipate and mitigate issues. Solid analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership to drive supplier’s engineering teams.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is a must, Chinese speaking and writing skill is a huge plus.
