What to expect in this role

The IT Network Specialties and Facilities role is essential to maintaining our IT infrastructure and office facilities, ensuring a seamless work environment. This position involves managing various IT systems, overseeing office maintenance, and collaborating with vendors to facilitate day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will possess basic networking knowledge and demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

IT Management:

  • CCTV and Access Control:
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of CCTV systems to ensure security within the premises.
  • Manage access control systems, including the distribution and management of building access cards and monitoring office entry points.

  • User Setup and Support:
  • Set up and configure user accounts, primarily focusing on Mac systems. Familiarity with Mosyle for device management is a significant advantage.
  • Provide basic technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware and
software issues as they arise.

  • Networking:
  • Maintain basic network functionality, including monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement upgrades and improvements to network systems.

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment and supplies, ensuring that necessary resources are readily available for staff.
  • Conduct regular audits of IT assets and manage the lifecycle of technology resources.

Office Facilities Management:
  • Vendor Coordination:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT service providers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed to ensure optimal service quality.

  • General Office Maintenance:
  • Oversee general office operations, including facility maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all office systems are operating efficiently, including parking management and administrative support tasks.

Qualifications and Tech Proficiency

Experience:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, facilities management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and user setup processes.

Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and vendor coordination.

Communication Skills:
  • Candidates with higher English proficiency will be considered a significant
advantage.
