IT Security Team Lead

As a Security Team Lead, you will be pivotal in developing and implementing robust security strategies collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture.
This position is 100% remote in Colombia
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard company assets and data.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other departments to integrate security measures into overall business processes.
- Define and implement security architecture for the company’s solutions on the Cloud.
- Define and implement IT security best practices.
- Ensure the alignment between applications and compliance regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct and plan ethical hacking, PEN testing, and other activities that help the company detect vulnerabilities proactively.
- Oversee incident response and forensic investigations in the event of security breaches.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to enhance security protocols proactively.
- Lead and mentor the security team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors, contractors, and partners.
- Bilingual (English- Spanish) B2/C1.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (must).
- Minimum 11 years of experience in general, minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in conducting security assessments and penetration testing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Previous experience in a remote work environment.
