Purpose
The GWMS Digital Client Services (DCS) value stream is undertaking a major initiative to modernize the client/account onboarding and servicing platform for Scotia Wealth Management. The group consists of 5 agile teams working closely together to deliver, support, and maintain the direct client onboarding system known as Wealth One.


The Wealth One team within the DCS value stream is currently looking for a client-focused Sr Pega Developer who is motivated to design and develop components of enterprise applications and providing consultative guidance on all project assignments. You will work as part of a team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches business requirements. At times you will be asked to lead aspects of design, development and mentoring of resources.

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• The role involves working with key business stakeholders, technical teams, regulatory and compliance groups, and senior leadership.
• The role is a hybrid role with remote activities and onsite work based out of Bogota, Colombia and can involve occasional evening/weekend support activities.
• The Senior Developer should be a self-starter and able to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Ensure that system architectures are functional, robust, and scalable within the context of enterprise standards.
• Ability to analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.

Reporting Relationships




Education / Experience / Other Information

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
• 4-7 years experience required.
• Development experience in PEGA 7.X, 8.x is required. (or ability to learn, experience in Java).
• Experience with cloud-based application development and support a plus.
• Familiarity with using monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace) a plus.
• SQL experience a plus
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large-scale projects from end-to-end.
• Hands on experience in following the iterative and Agile SDLC
