We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Colombia and work on an innovative project in the educational field.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is an American Ivy League research University that has built up a Business School for their graduates. They are working on a project to help users improve their quality of life according to their core values.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
• 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer or in a similar role;
• Strong hands-on experience in test plan and test cases creation;
• Strong experience performing manual testing for web applications;
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes;
• Experience or knowledge with Git, Bitbucket, Unix/Linux, Jenkins;
• Knowledge of version control systems and issue-tracking tools;
• Experience testing AWS Cloud components;
• Experience with accessibility is a big plus;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;
• Intermediate (B2) English or above; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English;

NICE TO HAVE

• Test Automation knowledge or experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications;
• Design and implement test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability;
• Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify bugs and issues;
• Work proactively and autonomously in different QA tasks;
• Perform regression testing to ensure new features and bug fixes do not adversely impact existing functionality;
• Collaborate with development teams to verify successful issue resolution;
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools;
