About the Role:
This role operates within the company’s Global Business Services organization to provide high quality accountancy expertise and services to the APAC region within Boston Scientific Corporation. This role performs a variety of medium to complex duties in fixed assets accounting such as analyzing accounts, booking necessary journal entries, preparing reports, managing software interfaces, and performing the monthly financial close and consolidation. This role measures performance against key performance indicators and metrics, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

• Compiles and analyzes capital in progress financial information through preparation of reports and general ledger journal entries.

• Performs standard fixed assets processes including asset capitalizations, disposals, transfers, and account reconciliations.
• Supports the Fixed Assets processes, including approving journal entries, close tasks, reconciliations, and annual verification selections.

• Perform necessary steps to assist in the completion of the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Close to the highest standards ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting detail are in place.
• Establishes and communicates accounting processes by maintaining a thorough understanding of SOX controls, GAAP, and new accounting guidance as appropriate.
• Partners with E&Y and SOX management team to fulfill audit requests.
• Implementation and maintenance of internal controls. Ensure adherence to internal policies and best practice policies.
• Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and standardizing processes across multiple legal entities.
• Collaborates with several groups within BSC, including local sites to ensure all perspectives are taken into consideration when implementing changes and improvements.
• Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external customers, includes dealing with urgent and ad-hoc requests.
• Lead or assist with various finance and accounting projects including the update of accounting policies and procedures.
• Works to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners.
• Participates in the development of junior accountants by setting an example and providing guidance.
• To perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business Administration.
• English Level +95%.
• Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting a plus.
• SAP and S4 Experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point skills required.
• Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
• Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and organization skills.
• Open to working across global time zones.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• 3 to 6 years relevant experience.
