About the Role

As a People and Culture Assistant Director at Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica , you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of People and Culture. Your purpose will be to assist in managing all aspects of the Human Resources division, including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, career development, compliance, and training, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all staff members.

What You Will Do

• Act as an objective third party in employee counseling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution, and communicate any legal matters to the Director of People and Culture.
• Analyze employee turnover patterns and implement strategies to address and reduce unsatisfactory trends.
• Oversee the financial management of the People and Culture budget, including labor and salary reports, and organize cost-effective staff events.
• Conduct regular audits of insurance records, as well as vacation and sick accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed employment files and records, both physically and within the HR system (Workday), through personal management and delegation.
• Update and manage the HR and payroll systems, ensuring they are accurate and aligned with current company policies.
• Enforce Four Seasons’ work rules and standards, ensuring compliance and updating the Em Pact system when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while upholding confidentiality in all People and Culture matters.
• Administer and provide training for employees on benefits, core standards, and the company’s culture.
• Collaborate with the Director of People and Culture to follow up on Engagement Survey Action Plans.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or any related field.
• Two to four years of experience in a similar position, ideally within Four Seasons or another luxury hospitality organization.
• A general understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday, Abhril Soft) and payroll management tools.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
