About the role:
The Restaurant Hostess is dedicated to providing exceptional service and a warm welcome to all guests. You will be responsible for managing guest arrivals, overseeing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience from start to finish. This role is a key part of our Food & Beverage team, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager.
What you will do:
The Restaurant Hostess is dedicated to providing exceptional service and a warm welcome to all guests. You will be responsible for managing guest arrivals, overseeing reservations, and ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience from start to finish. This role is a key part of our Food & Beverage team, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager.
What you will do:

Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding service throughout their dining experience, collaborating closely with the team of servers.

Oversee the host stand, manage the reservation book, and provide recommendations for table setups.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in all dining room sections, ensuring each table is properly set before service begins.
-
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and all restaurant details.
-
One to two years of previous experience in a Food & Beverage outlet; experience in luxury hotels is considered an asset.

Proficiency in operating computer equipment and food & beverage management systems.
-
Strong communication skills.
-
Previous experience in a similar role.
-
Availability to start in late October 2024.
-
Food Handling Certificate.
-
Proficiency in English and Spanish.
-
Must be a national citizen eligible to work legally in Costa Rica.
