Your Role at Baxter
Main objective of the position:
This position will work with the Direct Tax and local accounting regulatory (Statutory) compliance for all the Baxter legal entities in Costa Rica.

What you'll be doing:

• Follow up to the rec items > 90 days with the A2R owners and prepare the dashboard to be reviewed in monthly basis with the Regional Controller.
• Full involvement in standardization and improvement for A2R organization.
• Work closely with stakeholders and A2R team members to understand technical requirements related to JDE, SAP, Alteryx, DAS8, Power BI among others.
• Be capable of explaining and documenting main drivers for variances or differences related to system interfaces.
• Communicate and follow up reconciliation’s differences for resolution of issues.
• Perform month end close follow up/activities such as JE completion, batches in error resolution, special entries/processes and any other support required during MEC.
• Provide effective internal accounting controls, which include the correct application of procedures, completion of accounting reconciliations, compliance US GAAP procedures and S-Ox policies.
• Deliver all internal and external audit requirements.
• Propose, develop, participate and lead projects related to process improvements.
• Completion of regulatory surveys for US and Canada.
• Coordinate and confirm the closing activities and post close entries
• Provide support to Global FA team on JDe configuration and supplemental mapping as needed.
• Provide timely support to Ad Hoc requests from upper management.
• Support setup of setup of allocations into JDE

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar background.
• At least 5 years in similar position
• English knowledge B2+ / C1
• Work experience in general accounting processes and implementation projects (all stages)
• Attention to details, prioritization problem solving, and analytical skills are a must
• Teamwork and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong ERP knowledge (JDE, SAP, Oracle)
• Advance/Proficient Excel skills (macros or visual basic is a plus)
• Working with simplification/reporting tools such as Knime, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, DAS8.
