About Health Tech Hub Copenhagen
Health Tech Hub Copenhagen is a non-profit, purpose-driven innovation hub. We improve healthcare for patients and healthcare professionals through health tech. We work internationally with startups, healthcare providers, businesses, and governments to enable the development and adoption of health tech at scale.
We are a diverse team of 11 colleagues from various nationalities, soon to grow to more than 15. We value different mindsets and backgrounds and provide an informal and positive environment in a fast-moving industry.
Based in Copenhagen, we are building a new team, supported by internal project owners and external advisors. The team will be responsible for developing, launching, and running a unique technology platform for Health Tech: “Health Tech Pathways.” A broad range of stakeholders will be consulted and included in the solution's design and development.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior project manager to lead a truly unique and innovative project.
Many startups in health tech lack the resources or expertise to focus on regulatory issues during product development. Despite this being essential for the success of innovative health technologies, it often results in prolonged time to market and high associated costs. We aim to change this by developing an AI-powered digital platform and ecosystem.
The future vision for the platform is to go beyond regulatory aspects and also focus on pathways for reimbursement, clinical trials, interoperability, and other challenges that health tech startups must navigate.
Project Milestones:
Development of an online self-service platform:
The Regulatory Support System will assist in obtaining regulatory approval for health tech solutions. It will offer education for stakeholders, access to peers, consultants and notified bodies, access to course providers, updates on new and changed regulations, AI tools for regulatory assistance and more.
Scaling and continuously developing the platform:
Maintain the technical platform, market it, and ensure user engagement. Update and add content to keep the platform relevant and up-to-date. Initiate sales activities locally and internationally, to generate revenue and secure the platform's long-term sustainability.
The ambition is to create an online ecosystem that fosters meaningful relationships, provides relevant education, and offers hands-on regulatory assistance.
Main responsibility
- Lead the project through all phases, ensuring success within time and budget constraints.
- Manage an 18–24-month delivery project: develop a detailed requirement specification, run a vendor selection process, and manage one or two IT subcontractors using agile delivery and test methodologies.
- Post-delivery, evolve the platform into a sustainable international business.
- Market the solution and engage the health tech ecosystem in Denmark, the Nordics, and selected European markets.
- Proven experience in managing IT projects, preferably leading smaller projects with up to 10 people.
- Skilled in project management disciplines: agile methodologies, stakeholder management, risk management, user-involvement, vendor management, KPI/Impact reporting, and more.
- Academic background in business, healthcare/life science, tech, innovation, or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of healthcare fundamentals from working within healthcare organizations or from developing solutions for healthcare.
- Knowledge of health tech startups and familiarity with newer project methodologies.
- “High performing team” manager, proactive and honest in addressing challenges and risk.
- You understand the main task for a project manager is about leading people and handling stakeholders. Second is reporting and updating excel sheets.
- Ability to focus on details while considering the big picture.
- Versatile team member capable of taking on both small and big tasks.
- Effective relationship builder to ensure the project's success through strong stakeholder engagement.
- Passionate about healthcare and pioneering new digital healthcare solutions.
- Ambitious about transitioning from project manager to team and business manager after the successful launch.
- Nationality is not important, but you must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Honest and open communication style.
