YOUR TASKS
In the Port of Thyborøn in Denmark, you will work as HSE Officer (m/w/d) to ensure and enforce the highest HSE standards during secondary steel operations for our client. Our client is subcontracted for the foundation work of an offshore wind farm in Denmark. The project will be mobilized in mid-November 2024. To prepare for the works, the HSE Officer shall be part-time available (remote) one month (October) before the mobilization. The project End is estimated for October 2025.
Your range of tasks will include:
- Ensuring compliance with high offshore and Danish HSE standards on site
- Monitoring changes to legislation in the area relating to safety and the environment and ensuring that port operations comply with the new regulations
- Promote safety culture on-site
- Implementation of client’s safety requirements and regulations
- Preparation of a site induction process and presentation
- Measures for the systematic identification, analysis, evaluation, monitoring and control of risks (RI&E, TRA, LMRA)
- Creation of Documentation defined in 3
- Participation in the preparation or review of documentation (Risk Assessment, Method Statements, (Incident)- Reports, HSE-Plan…)
- Participation in the Management of Change Process, evaluating the process and any occurring risk related to the change
- Participation in HSE relevant meetings (Hi RA, Haz Id, Ro C, Haz Ops…)
- Implementation and reporting of toolbox meetings
- Monitoring of subcontractor’s safety management
- Monitoring of subcontractor’s licenses and certificates for specific works
- Management of permit-to-work system on site
- Regular reporting of HSE-statistics
- Communication with Danish authorities and obtaining of permits
- Collaborate with Danish authorities during inspections
- Provide training/instruction to site personnel to ensure they are familiar with emergency procedures and safe working practices
- Carry out safety drills if required
- Technical background (technician, engineer or equal)
- Project language is English. Danish is an advantage
- Certified HSE Officer (Si Fa (Occupational Safety Specialist) or similar) or higher qualified
- Strong knowledge of Danish and international maritime safety and environmental regulations, HSE-standards and legal framework
- Experienced in offshore (wind) and knowledge of its processes and standards
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits and incident investigations
- An employment contract OR on freelance base
