We are seeking a passionate IT Procurement Manager to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role supporting our product teams with purchasing, negotiating and maintaining the right agreements with our vendors. You will be joining the Global IT Services & Procurement Organization and work closely with devoted colleagues within the organization, who all share the overall goal of developing and bringing new innovative medicines to patients.
You will be based in our headquarters in Hellerup, reporting directly to Christian Veggerby Wittrup, Associate Director, who is also based in our headquarters in Hellerup.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Day-to-day responsible for the operations of our IT procurement process including managing the incoming tasks for the team
• Work closely with the IT Product teams and your legal counterparties when designing and negotiating our IT agreements
• Support the continued enablement and setup of our IT contract framework
• Secure that vendors deliver value throughout their entire contract lifecycle
• Maintain a continued overview of our application licenses
• Secure that we have the right setup for external resources to enable scaling while securing fair prices
• Contribute to the overall portfolio of activities in GIT Services & Procurement

Qualifications and Skills:
Your drive and willingness to learn and develop is more important than your experience as you will have plenty of support and opportunity to grow in this role.
Ideally you have worked in a biotech, pharmaceutical company or consultancy catering to the pharmaceutical industry. Perhaps you have worked for a software vendor where you have been part of the tender process. We imagine that you hold an academic degree – preferably a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Commercial law, Information Technology or similar.

Furthermore, you have:

• A couple of years’ experience from a similar position.
• Some experience with partnering with IT and business stakeholders within different product areas
• Experience with IT contracts and able to quickly interpret complex material
• A structured business mindset, able to see the big picture and determine the benefits or disadvantages of different scenarios
