- Mínimo tres años de experiencia como chofer, preferentemente en un organismo internacional, una embajada o el sistema de las Naciones Unidas, con un historial de conducción en condiciones de seguridad demostrado.
- Experiencia en la conducción de diversas marcas y modelos de vehículo, incluidas camionetas, camiones y otro tipo de vehículos de motor.
- Se valorará la experiencia en conducción defensiva.
- Conocimiento de las normas y reglamentos de conducción, del protocolo y el trato de cortesía propios de un chofer, de las carreteras y vías fluviales locales y de su estado, y de los problemas relacionados con la seguridad.
- Buen conocimiento de los servicios de transporte y aptitud para coordinar los itinerarios y horarios de los otros choferes.
- Conocimiento de las normas y reglamentos de conducción de vehículos/embarcaciones, según corresponda.
- Conocimiento de las normas y el equipo de seguridad (p. ej., extintores de incendios, dispositivos de seguridad portátiles flotantes, etc.).
- Capacidad para leer e interpretar documentos tales como normas de seguridad, instrucciones de funcionamiento y mantenimiento, y manuales de procedimientos.
- Capacidad para valorar la idoneidad mecánica de un vehículo y conocimientos técnicos para realizar pequeñas reparaciones.
- Conocimiento de la capacidad de carga y otros parámetros del vehículo.
- Conocimientos y capacidad para utilizar aparatos de radio, correo electrónico, teléfono y otros dispositivos.
- Habilidades básicas para prestar asistencia en caso de emergencia, conocimiento de los métodos básicos de primeros auxilios.
- Capacidad para aplicar un enfoque orientado al cliente, alto sentido de responsabilidad, cortesía y tacto
