Electrical Motors Lead

Assess, repair, maintain, or install electric motors, wiring, or switches. Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions or read work orders and schematic drawings to determine required repairs.

Verify and adjust alignments and dimensions of parts, using gauges and various hand tools.

Measure velocity, horsepower, Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), amperage, circuitry, and voltage of units or parts to diagnose problems, using ammeters, voltmeters, wattmeters, and other testing devices.

Repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment.

Complies with all safety instructions during repairs and testing of associated motor(s).

Possess High School Diploma or GED.

Certification in electrical motor mechanics
-
Ten (10) years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues with electrical motors and Five (5) years of specific shipyard or naval experience.

Working knowledge of intermediate and depot-level repair procedures, repair, maintenance standards, quality assurance specifications, and proper use of IMA industrial machinery.

Proficiency using hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
-
Proficiency with basic computer operation and ability to create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets.

Ability to interpret vessel blueprints, ship drawings, and hydraulic system drawings in addition to research ships’ systems manuals to identify problems as they arise.

Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues, provide customer support, and contribute to the overall maintenance and improvement of hydraulic and control systems.

Ability to host pre and post shift meetings and ensure daily work is assigned, completed, and documented.

Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization.
-
Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt.

Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
-
Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment.
-
Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.
