MEP Project Manager, PDS Projects

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager with a strong background in Electrical Engineering to join our Project & Development Services team in Cairo, Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects, with a focus on electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments for MEP systems.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
Review and approve MEP drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to MEP-related challenges.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on all projects.
Mentor and guide junior team members in MEP project management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP project management, with focus on electrical systems.
In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Egypt.
Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant software.
Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Competencies:
Technical expertise in electrical systems design and implementation.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
Adaptability to changing project requirements and client needs.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
