Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Egypt (with responsibility for Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia)

KONE seeks a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice, manage legal matters across Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, and support our leadership team. Why this role?
KONE seeks a skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advice, manage legal matters across Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, and support our leadership team. As a vital part of the local leadership team, you will be critical in ensuring compliance, managing legal risks, and protecting the company's interests.
What will you be doing?
- Provide expert legal advice on business-related legal and compliance matters.
- Support teams in managing and responding to contractual claims to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Develop, implement, and update legal policies and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Represent the company in judicial and governmental proceedings to protect the company’s legal standing.
- Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments, advising stakeholders on their impact.
- Maintain and manage relationships with external lawyers and advisors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share best practices and align legal strategies with business goals.
- Offer training on legal and compliance topics affecting the business.
- Handle all legal matters within Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia while being part of the local leadership team.
Are you the one?
- Master of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), preferably within a multinational company or leading law firm.
- Admitted to the local Bar Association and accepted before the Court of Appeal.
- Fluent in Arabic, English, and French (both written and spoken).
- Experience working in an international environment with a proven track record of managing legal responsibilities independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a larger team.
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and a significant workload.
