Technical Site Representative (Contract - Cairo)

The Role
Reporting to our team in Vancouver, Canada, you will review and test the onsite technical aspects of an immersive experience currently in production. This role is crucial to confirm AV technical specifications and site status for our production team. This requires well-rounded technical experience and project management skills to conduct tests as directed and relay information. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to manage relationships onsite with the AVH partner and client representatives.
Candidates must be local to Cairo, Egypt, or willing to travel regionally. Candidates must be proficient in English and Arabic.

Key Responsibilities

Review installed AV hardware, ensuring all work aligns with experience design requirements

Act as the onsite liaison between the local installation team and our Vancouver, Canada based project team, relaying information, updates, and project status

Run tests on AV hardware and systems to ensure functionality and adherence to technical and creative specifications

Provide regular reports (including onsite photos and videos) to the project team regarding install progress and any challenges encountered

Assist with creating training materials and operating manuals

Collaborate actively with project team and engage over Slack, Teams, and email (connecting in real time will be required with teams in the Pacific Time Zone)
Desired Experience and Skills
-
Demonstrated technical experience, as a Technical Director, AV System Engineer, Technical Project Manager, or similar - with a proven track record of successful AV installations and client management

In-depth knowledge of immersive projection design, AV systems integration, show control, immersive audio systems, and troubleshooting techniques

Experience with calibrating immersive projections, Pixera media servers, LED video walls, and integrating multi-channel audio

Familiarity with animation and software development pipelines and interactive media technologies

Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information

Highly organized and agile, with the ability to multitask, prioritize and navigate change

Strong client-facing abilities - ability to be personable and establish trust with our client is a must

Outstanding attention to detail and diligence

Commitment to delivering excellence and meeting high standards of quality

Has an active network in the local AV integration and technology sector

Experience creating immersive experiences is a bonus
