Danske Bank is searching for an Indirect Tax Specialist, for the Finnish branch. The position will provide the right candidate with a great opportunity to be part of an innovative and international tax environment. As part of Group Tax in Danske Bank’s Group Finance organization, you will be working in an international environment together with colleagues in different countries. In addition, you will be supporting colleagues in the Finnish Business with day-to-day Finnish VAT issues.
Your workplace will be at Danske Bank in Helsinki, and you will report to Kristina, Head of Nordic Tax, who is based in Stockholm.
About the role:
As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you play an important role in defining the VAT needs of the Finnish business. You will take the lead responsibility for ensuring that the bank is VAT compliant in Finland, maintaining and developing processes related to VAT and other indirect taxes. This is a crucial role encompassing a broad range of tasks. You will coordinate and monitor VAT aspects with VAT colleagues in the Group, participate in developing Danske Bank's VAT community, and ensure that knowledge and best practices are shared within the group. You will also represent the branch in relevant external organizations and act as the contact person towards the Finnish tax authorities regarding VAT questions.
Additional tasks include risk mapping and analysis of processes and flows within all VAT areas, as well as the preparation and implementation of internal instructions and guidelines. Your aim will be to develop, execute, and maintain the group's VAT strategy.
About you:

• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience with VAT, preferably within the financial sector.
• Hold a degree in Law or Economics.
• Demonstrates a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
• Highly organized with sharp analytical skills.
• Flexible, with a proactive approach to work.
• Capable of delivering high-quality results on time.
• Advanced English language skills.
