As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton’s expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.
What you’ll do:
This role is not just about overseeing the quality of existing products, but also about ensuring a smooth transition as we scale up to meet customer requirements. You will be at the forefront of designing efficient production processes and workflows, reducing non-conformances and costs, and addressing production issues.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Quality Management: Oversee updates to the quality management system and develop procedures relevant to expanded operations, ensuring compliance with adopted standards during capacity expansion.

Audit and Compliance: Assist in planning and conducting internal audits focusing on expanded areas, and collaborate with project teams to ensure product compliance according to regulations concerning increased capacity demands.

Lead Risk Assessments: Lead risk assessments for new/existing products and manage risk reduction measures.

Spearhead Process Development & Change Control: Drive process development initiatives aimed at improving production line capacities and efficiencies during scale-up phases. Implement effective change control strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
Qualifications:
-
A suitable degree in the field of engineering or related field is preferred.

Proven experience in quality assurance or similar roles within manufacturing environments.
Skills:
-
In-depth knowledge of electronics and manufacturing with quality mindset.

Proficiency in conducting problem-solving, risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Good working knowledge of PFMEA and Lean principles
-
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Finnish.

Willingness to learn more and constantly develop the manufacturing environment in cooperation with others.
