What will you do?
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing ICEYE’s on-premise infrastructure and customer environments. This infrastructure is the heart of ICEYE’s Mission Ground Segment product, used to operate satellite fleets. You’ll work across areas like Kubernetes clusters, networking, hardware security, and physical device protection to ensure the resilience and security of our systems.
You will be part of the Security Engineering team, collaborating closely with experts in cloud security, development, and operations. This role suits someone who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys solving unique challenges in hybrid and custom-built systems.

What will you do?
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing ICEYE’s on-premise infrastructure and customer environments. You will be part of the Security Engineering team, collaborating closely with experts in cloud security, development, and operations. This role suits someone who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys solving unique challenges in hybrid and custom-built systems.
Your key responsibilities:
- Secure on-premises Kubernetes clusters, ensuring robust configurations and practices.
- Design and implement secure networking solutions for physical and virtual environments.
- Manage and enhance hardware and physical device security measures.
- Oversee security configurations and processes for virtualization platforms such as VMware.
- Conduct regular security assessments of on-premise systems, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate on-premise and cloud security strategies.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents involving on-prem infrastructure.
- Contribute to the design of on-prem environments, making sure security requirements coming from customers as well as regulations are met.
- Stay up to date on emerging threats, particularly those targeting physical systems and on-prem environments.
- Strong expertise in securing and managing on-premises infrastructure, including Kubernetes and VMware.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks, including OIDC and OAuth2.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, protocols, and secure configurations.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and physical device security.
- Proven ability to work in custom on-prem environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with hybrid setups, integrating on-prem and cloud systems.
- Knowledge of custom environment setups from a vendor perspective.
- Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) practices.
