We are looking for someone who shares our values to complement our Sales team. You'll create impact by bringing amazing ‘AWmomente to more customers by helping them find their perfect self-guided walking adventure.
Reporting to our Germany Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to become a destination specialist and experience what we offer our customers to support your success within the business.

Abenteuer Wege is proudly part of Macs Adventure, an adventure tour operator on a mission to be the leading global brand in self-guided, active travel. Welcoming over 30,000 customers on over 600 walking and cycling trips to destinations around the world, we employ over 180 people across the UK, US and Germany who share our purpose to lead, advocate & enable self-guided, active travel as a positive force for people and planet.

What you’ll do;
Adventure Sales
  • Following up on warm enquiries within the expected time frame.
  • Building rapport and understanding the needs of your customers.
  • Preparing quotes to ensure they meet the needs of the customers.
  • Following up on and converting quotes to bookings.
  • Achieve and exceed personal and team targets without compromising the customer journey.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of Abenteuer Wege tours to prospective customers.
  • Utilize multiple channels including email, webform, phone, and live chat to make sales.
  • Use sales technology such as a CRM and Zendesk efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of trips for customers.

Managing customer needs
  • Working with our internal operations team and our suppliers to ensure that the customer’s trip is arranged to perfectly meet their needs.
  • Supporting customers with all pre, during and post trip questions, amendments, and challenges.
  • Connecting with your customers pre and post trip to ensure expectations are managed; to ensure feedback is gained in a timely manner, to discover any issues and drive continuous product improvement.

Teamwork

  • Be an active positive member of the team.
  • Actively support your colleagues and be there for them.
  • Contribute and participate in team calls and meetings.
What you’ll bring;
  • Experience in a target driven Sales role.
  • A desire to deliver high end customer service.
  • A keen interest in travel and passion for learning about new destinations.
  • Able to work under pressure, motivated to achieve targets and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Able to self-organise and manage competing priorities.
  • A strong team player, you understand the importance of collaboration and support your colleagues and the company in achieving shared goals.
  • Must be in the Saarbrucken area. The position offers a hybrid office and work from home model with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remote work.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise and establish deadlines to ensure competing objectives are met.
  • Interpersonal and team skills which enable you to build great relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly confident, competent and articulate individual who can communicate professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced and fluent in using IT systems such as email, livechat, phones, booking/company systems and MS office suite.
  • Learning orientated.
  • Resilient and flexible.
  • A hands-on individual willing to go the extra mile for customers, colleagues and the business.
  • Creative thinking, adaptability and communication skills are key.
Not essential, it would be a bonus if you;
  • Have previous experience in the travel industry
