ifp Privates Institut für Produktqualität Gmb H is an accredited testing laboratory with headquarters in Berlin and two further locations in Germany. The position:
To strengthen our team in Berlin, we are looking for a BTA / CBTA / LTA / Lab Technician / Dairy Laboratory Technician Microbiology Dairy Products (m/f/d).
Your tasks:

• Processing samples along the food production chain: from highly contaminated raw milk to low contaminated final food products, like infant formula.

• Carrying out microbiological analyses in accordance with the norm ISO 17025. Including the application of various microbiological preparation techniques such as spatula preparation, plate counting method, streak plating, etc.

• Analysis of qualitative and quantitative parameters, including the determination of total plate count (CFU), yeasts, moulds, etc. as well as enrichment and detection of pathogenic germs of a biosafety level 2, such as coagulase-positive Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas spp., Listeria monocytogenes and, Enterobacteriaceae, like Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli, or Cronobacter sakazakii.

• Evaluation and documentation of analysis results in compliance with the quality management system in place.

Your profile:

• Completed training as a BTA, CBTA, LTA, dairy laboratory technician / biology laboratory technician (m/f/d) or comparable international science degree, with corresponding professional experience

• Knowledge of microbiological laboratory methods such as sterile work, sample preparation and cultivation techniques, pipetting, etc.

• Fluent written and spoken English (at least C1) and basic German (at least A2, with willingness to learn German), allowance to work in Germany (existing work visa)

• Enthusiasm for team work

• Careful and considerate way of working

• Willingness to work at weekends (according to shiftplan)
