Job Title: Customer Relationship Coordinator - Europe

Site: Le Havre, France
Moers, Germany
Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Hours: 40 hours per week


The purpose of this role is:-


Primarily responsible for managing the customer relationships, coordinating the Inside Sales function, offering and following-up commercial proposals to established and new customers.

The focus is on quote accuracy, proactivity and managing the requirements from the customers in line with the internal KPI’s and company strategic and financial goals.


What you will do:-


  • Actively seek new business opportunities from existing customer as well as new target accounts in line with strategy.
  • Ensure all new customer enquiries are actioned (or acknowledged) within 24 hours. This includes internal updates from other regional offices.
  • Follow up on new business and quotations, develop and sustain profitable import business in line with the outside sales team.
  • Set-up meetings with potential new customers and leads and with the existing customer base allocated to your portfolio. Work on developing new business in line the outside sales team
  • Work on developing and sustaining profitable import business, to support the demand and growth goals for the exports out of your region.
  • Assist external sale team with setting up and preparation of sales visits.

  • Assist direct Line Manager and or Regional Director with any special business-related projects outside of the day-to-day scope as relevant and required by the business.
  • Ensure all new processes agreed by management are implemented and coordinated within the agreed upon deadline/s. This includes work processes; system updates and processes.
  • Cooperate and assist line manager with work allocation and work in event of absence from anyone in the team, either due to vacation and or sickness.
  • Record and assist with the Claims Process under remit. Seek assistance from team leader / operations manager where needed.
  • Record and assist with any Incident and Accident reporting. Seek assistance from team leader / operations manager where needed.
  • Assist if needed in all Disputes (Issues relating from Accounts Receivable Errors) for relevant work is addressed and resolved.
  • Record and assist in addressing any customer complaints that might arise from daily operations. Report back on this issue to commercial account manager and regional management team as needed.
  • Ensure at all times the One Way of Working is followed up.
  • Participate and complete any special HR projects / surveys where relevant.


What you will bring:-

  • Good IT, verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to communicate fluently, both orally and in writing in English is essential
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch and German is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to travel to clients’ premises on occasion
  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Ability to compile rate quotations
  • Fantastic negotiation and customer service skills
  • Logistics experience is desirable but not essential
