About The Role

As a Data Integration and Reporting Specialist at Zero Ex, you will be the go-to person for managing and executing data integration across multiple departments, ensuring real-time updates, and generating comprehensive reports. This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing database integration solutions, maintaining ETL processes, and safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality. Your work will directly support our mission to enhance data-driven decision-making, requiring a blend of technical expertise, meticulous data management, and strong IT security knowledge.

What You'll Do

We're seeking a dedicated Data Integration and Reporting Specialist to lead our data consolidation and reporting operations. Your key tasks will include:

• 
  Designing and Developing Integration Solutions: Consolidate data from various departments, including our geoinformation system, ensuring real-time updates and synchronization.
• ETL Process Management: Develop and maintain ETL processes, create and manage data warehouses or data lakes, and generate comprehensive reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
• IT Security: Implement and maintain IT security protocols to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize database performance for efficiency and speed.
• Documentation: Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for seamless data integration and reporting.

To successfully launch our projects, we need to combine and consolidate multiple data sources—from field data provided by our farmer partners to logistics information and analysis results. This requires a central database that provides every team with a direct overview of all ongoing processes and gathered data, eliminating data silos.
Starting this project from scratch means you will have complete flexibility, freedom, and responsibility to design the most efficient solution imaginable.

Additional Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensuring real-time data updates and synchronization across integrated systems.
• Developing and generating comprehensive reports from various data sources.
• Collaborating with department heads to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
• Implementing and maintaining IT security protocols to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Monitoring and optimizing database performance for efficiency and speed.
• Documenting processes, workflows, and technical specifications for data integration and reporting.

Desired Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database management, data integration, and reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database systems (eg, My SQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with ETL tools (eg, Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake solutions (eg, Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query).
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (eg, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink).
• Familiarity with programming languages (eg, Python, Java).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Certification in database management or data integration.
