Embedded Linux Engineer

TITLE: Embedded Linux Engineer
LOCATION: Eastern Munich
SENIORITY: 3+ years of experience
SALARY: Up to €80'000
COMPANY: Developer of software and hardware solutions for local public transport in the European market. In 1980, the company worked significantly on converting mechanical devices to innovative electrical solutions in local public transport. The aim was to collect the data where it was generated. In addition to the core business in public transport, the company is currently designing innovative future solutions in the area of smart cities / smart regions. The company has offices in Germany (4 locations), Switzerland, Croatia and Sweden, and currently employees over 100 people.
THE JOB:
  • Configuring and testing the Linux kernel
  • Integration and adaptation of open source and proprietary software packages into an embedded Linux distribution
  • Developing and customizing Linux drivers and applications
  • Script programming and customization
  • Collaboration in the conception of solutions for software under Linux
  • Testing, bug fixing and maintenance for software in the field
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Very good Linux system knowledge
  • Experience in the embedded sector
  • C / C++ and bash knowledge
  • Experience in using version control git
  • German and English, spoken and written
