Event Manager Running (m/f/d)

We are looking to add an experienced and highly motivated team member to our brand marketing team as soon as possible to help bring our vision to life through dynamic and innovative events.
Job Purpose
The Event Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for turning strategic priorities into scalable, innovative event concepts for Top4Running. This hands-on role involves end-to-end project management, from planning and coordination to on-site execution and post-event analysis. The Event Manager will focus on organizing a variety of events, including store openings, community-building activations, and ambassador activations during races, to engage the running community. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will ensure the seamless execution of high-quality events that elevate the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development & Execution: Translate high-level event and campaign ideas from the Brand Director and Marketing Executive into detailed, actionable plans, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with brand objectives.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning, organization, and coordination of running events, activations, and product launches, managing all logistical details from concept to execution.
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of event and campaign projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Brand Managers, Content Teams, Channel Leads) and cross-functional leads (IT, Operations, Legal) to ensure seamless coordination and execution. Liaise with external partners (vendors, agencies) to manage all operational aspects of events and campaigns, ensuring alignment and smooth execution across all parties involved.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with external suppliers, venues, and partners to ensure seamless execution of all events and campaigns. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
- On-site Management: Be the primary point of contact for on-site event execution, overseeing setup, breakdown, and real-time troubleshooting to ensure successful event outcomes.
- Reporting & Feedback: Track and report on event performance and campaign results, providing post-event analysis and identifying areas for improvement in future activations.
- Budget Management: Manage event and campaign budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality experiences.
- Data-Driven Approach: Use data and key success metrics to measure event performance, ensuring insights are captured and applied to improve future campaigns.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all events meet safety standards and are compliant with legal and brand guidelines.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in event management, project management, or brand marketing, with a proven track record of managing large-scale events, preferably in the sports or lifestyle industry.
- Education: Degree in event management, marketing, or a comparable field.
- Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver results within a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Ability to think conceptually and work cross-functionally with other departments.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal), German language skills are a plus.
- Tools:
- Proficient in MS Office 365;
- Experience with project management tools like Asana and data capturing services such as Splash are a plus.
