Ambu A/S is currently looking for an experienced Design Owner with a Med Tech background to lead the design process for post-launch products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagement to ensure product enhancements and efficient execution of design updates.
You will be a part of the Pulmonology & ENT Solutions Team in Global R&D, where you will be responsible for our Endoscopy products on the market. The Global Solutions team consist of strong profiles of Design Owners, Project Managers, Product Owners, UX engineers and is based across our Innovation sites in Ballerup, Denmark, Augsburg, Germany, and Penang, Malaysia. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will have design ownership for a range of our successfully launched products and in close collaboration with cross-functional teams ensure the products fulfill the user’s needs.

- Evaluate design enhancements based on user feedback and market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product updates
- Maintain the system overview and system architecture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards Be part of the Global Solutions Team, where you will share and support best practice and lessons learned
Skills
Skills and experience can be gained in many ways, and we understand the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:
- A technical background, preferably with a degree in mechanical Engineering or medical technology – what truly interests us is your drive and experience!
- Previous experience as a Design Owner or similar role in the medical device industry
- Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations)
- A good understanding of customer value creation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders Can communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
