Field Service Engineer

Location: Wurzen, Germany.
- Ensure a safe work environment by ensuring all Nikkiso Cryotec safe work procedures are followed.
- Understand industrial safe work processes and standards in the ASU, hydrocarbon, and petrochemical environment.
- Advise customer representatives and contractors on accurate equipment construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, of various equipment.
- Understand and demonstrate knowledge in reading prints, flows sheets and product designs; provide liaison between the field and Cryotec engineering and project managers to resolve technical problems as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems by identifying, defining, analyzing, and then making sound, timely decisions working with customer and Cryotec project management and engineering.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills; maintain free and open communication.
- Travel to customer sites working independently as a representative of the Nikkiso Cryotec group.
- Ensure trip reports are generated at the completion of all trips detailing scope of all work performed.
- Manage and ensure expense reports are complete and accurate monthly.
- Willing to travel Domestic and Foreign sites.
- Technical or Associate's Degree.
- 10+ years of experience is highly desirable in the following fields:
- Air separation, natural gas liquefaction, or similar complex process control operations,
- Instrumentation and control,
- General maintenance of industrial equipment,
- Compressors and compressor maintenance,
- Turboexpander and compressor installation and maintenance,
- Industrial mechanical maintenance,
- Industrial electrical or electrician,
- Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC),
- Must be fluent in English and German is a plus.
- Ability to read P&ID, Electrical Drawings and design specifications, manufacturer drawings, engineering drawings related to bulk delivery sites associated with customer installations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to set goals and manage time to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and achievement of goals are accomplished and manage and execute multiple tasks or priorities as necessary.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word and Excel.
