Evac has been a pioneer in sustainable technologies and solutions for decades. Today we are the world’s leading provider of integrated Evac water, waste and wastewater technologies, Cathelco corrosion protection and marine growth prevention and HEM freshwater systems.

We are now looking for a Financial Controller, Evac Germany Gmb H to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure financial integrity for the legal entity. In this role you will have to following key responsibilities:

Provide high quality and timely periodic and year-end closing and reporting.
Support the Germany General Manager in the effective and efficient running of the entity.
Monitor and control revenue, costs, cash flow, invoicing, tax compliance and financial performance.
Manage budgeting and financial forecasting for the legal entity in co-operation with business stakeholders locally and overseas.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and consistent financial controls and policies for the legal entity in Germany.
Maintain contact and a close relation with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing any issues or recommendations.
Support the development of financial and management accounting processes and reporting including related IT systems.
Take care of tax filings and reporting, as well as provide guidance to other business functions in Germany.

To succeed in this position, you have strong financial management experience (5-10 years), preferably in an international industrial company applying the IFRS reporting practices. Additionally, we are looking for:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record in a similar role. Experience in Marine industry is a plus.
Experience of submitting accounts as part of a larger Group an advantage.
Strong experience in German GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
Effective communicator at all levels of the business and with overseas colleagues.
Good communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written.

Qualifications Required

Higher degree education in Finance or Accounting.
Recognized accounting qualification in Germany

The role is based in one of the Evac Germany office locations Norderstedt or Hemmoor and will report to Vice President, Finance, Evac Business Line.
