ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a highly motivated Marketing Manager to join our Mid European marketing team. The primary purpose of this role is to execute all aspects of the German and Austrian go-to-market planning across the intermediary channels including local content development, executing marketing programmes/activity and measurement with the goal of increasing T. Rowe Price’s brand awareness.
We hope that the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and friendly addition to both the Mid European team and wider EMEA marketing team. The EMEA marketing team consists of channel teams that are closely aligned to our regional distribution teams as well as teams with specific expertise in PR, Insight & Product Marketing, Market Research, Events, Studio Design, Digital Marketing and Advertising.
The successful candidate will help us build on the asset growth and increased brand awareness T. Rowe Price has experienced in Germany and Austria over the past decade. To do so, they need to be extremely organised and work efficiently to meet frequently pressing campaign deadlines.
The team’s remit cover both the institutional and intermediary segments and we are therefore looking for candidates with understanding of the differences between these channels as well as investment strategies generally.
ROLE SUMMARY
Contributes substantively to cross-functional teams that develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans. Analyses multiple data streams and optimises tactics. Implements plans and processes according to Segment Marketing strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partners with cross-functional peers and segment leads in the execution of multichannel marketing plans aligned to specific populations of prospects and clients. Makes recommendations on specific media and promotional channels to be employed to best promote supported products and services and drive targeted audience engagement. Determines appropriate measurement criteria and methods for newly suggested promotional audiences and tactics.
  • Ensures all internal and external elements necessary to the successful execution of segment marketing plans are addressed, including securing the support of necessary internal marketing and distribution partners; ensuring all legal and compliance obligations are satisfied; and ensuring all necessary content is shared, reviewed, and approved by necessary external partners.
  • Assesses and synthesises key performance indicator data to provide recommendations on additional key performance indicators, benchmarks, and tactical marketing plan adjustments.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for repeatable deliverables impacting client and prospect experiences, ensuring the ongoing maintenance and streamlining of all such repeatable workstreams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Experience working in the asset management field with a focus on Germany and Austria
  • Working knowledge of wholesale investment strategies and product positioning
  • Fluent German and English skills required, and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Curiosity and knowledge of industry trends, best in practice and competition A personal drive to impact business results

  • Self-motivated, creative, responsible, with excellent attention to detail

REGIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The German office was opened in 2014 and has a dedicated local team, which includes an intermediary and institutional Relationship Management team, Digital Marketing and RFP. It is also supported by additional (German speaking) resources including investment colleagues in various countries. Therefore, a close collaboration with key stakeholders, other team members and the channel marketing team based in Zurich, Frankfurt and London is a must.
This role will involve providing information to clients and as such, candidates will need to satisfy certain Knowledge and Competence requirements. In accordance with regulatory requirements, candidates who do not meet relevant Knowledge & Competence requirements will be subject to a period of supervision upon hire, during which they will be required to take steps to attain the necessary Knowledge and Competence standard for their role.
