➥Master’s Thesis Position Data Analysis for Protein Production / Machine Learning (m/f/x) – available immediately or later

Since 2000, trenzyme Gmb H has been established as a research service provider in the fields of recombinant protein production and cell line development. As an outsourcing partner, the company supports research and development units of academic institutes, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies from around the world with individual and innovative solutions.
We are currently seeking a master’s student (m/f/x) to contribute to our project at the crossroads of biology and information technology, focusing on data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Your project:

• Generation of workflows for protein sequence analysis utilizing established algorithms, external and internal databases, and develop a web interface for streamlined data entry and result visualization.
• Engineering of a systematic workflow for the analysis of expression data (from the wet lab) and engage in predictive modeling of various parameters, leveraging machine learning techniques.

Your tasks:

• Develop scripts for the coordinated retrieval of data from web-based analysis tools (Web Scraping).
• Create a web-based interface for structured data and parameter input, coupled with result output
• Integrate our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for organized storage of laboratory analysis data, aiming to subject it to in-depth ML/AI analysis to enhance prediction accuracy.
• Literature and database research, documentation of procedure and results.

Your profile:

• Currently enrolled as a master’s student in (bio)informatics or a related field with a keen interest in biological research questions.
• Proficient in programming, with a strong command of a widely-used scripting language, like Python or else.
• Eager to collaborate within a team of innovative bioscientists who may not have programming expertise.
• Distinguished by an autonomous, methodical, and inventive approach to tasks and challenges.
